I took this picture for my art fair applications!

This week I:

  • Applied to two art fairs

  • Took measurements of each of my existing pieces to start building a database of what my usual dimensions are for the various sorts of objects I make. This will help me decide pricing later on

  • Made a lid for a teapot I’ve been working on for a month now

  • Admired the Saturn Mug and Asteroid Mug which have now come out of the bisque firing

  • Enjoyed beautiful sunshine and spring flowers!

  • Went to the aquarium & tropical zoo with my spouse for a date!

I hand sculpted this lid. The teapot is funky so I wanted a lit to match

I’m so pleased with how these have turned out. Now I just need to glaze them…

First Bumblebee of spring!!!

Winterlinge (yellow) and Crocus (purple) <3

I love the geometry on this shrimp

I just love how these harlequin shrimp look. And I also love how the cardinal fish look around them. Fish!

Lizards! These are Sail Lizards. The one above is a female, and below is a male. He was slightly iridescent!

This is a massive grouper in the biggest tank in the aquarium. He’s easily bigger than me <3
The small fish is a cleaner wrasse. The cleaner wrasse were very busy during our visit!

I’m really thinking about the geometry present on the shrimp, and how I could work that into a piece.

Also, I think cleaner wrasse might make an appearance in my next installment of the “weird fish” series!

Hope you get to enjoy some sunshine, and thanks for reading!
